FLOX-COAL-II Workshop 13th-14th May 2014

Dear Member of the scientific or technical community,

We would like to welcome you to our FLOX-COAL-II Workshop website. On this website, you will find all required information related to the project workshop to be held from 13th - 14th May 2014.

The workshop aims to spread the results of the current FLOX-COAL-II project, carried out under the grant agreement RFCR-CT-2011-00005.

In the simulation part, this includes presentations about developed simulation tools which are mainly CFD sub-models for NOx formation and gas absorption coefficients. Moreover, results of the experimental trials at 300kW conducted at the KSVA test facitiliy (IFK, USTUTT) and the perfectly stirred reactor (WSA, RWTH) are shown.

In the scale-up methodology part, the project members will present their scale-up approach for pulverized coal FLOX burners derived from existing burner scaling methods and validated against the experimental results at 20kW and 300kW.

We hopefully aroused your interest and look forward to meeting you in May at IFK, University of Stuttgart, Germany.
